Ron Amato, Artists of Provincetown

“When anyone asks me why I’m so attached to Provincetown I generally say something along the lines of, It’s one of the only places in the world where unconventional people are not just tolerated but preferred.” —From the Introduction by Michael Cunningham

I am deeply honored and absolutely delighted to be included in such a spectacular and extraordinary series of photographs that documents several generations of artists currently living and working in Provincetown. Each image is full of life and beautifully reveals something of the inner nature of it’s subject. Ron Amato has not only given the most wonderful gift to each artist but he has also contributed a stunning and cohesive set of pictures to the archives of Provincetown’s history.
